About Nick

I’ve always been interested in understanding why something works.

Not just whether a campaign performed well or not, but what actually drove that performance. What trends were present, how people responded, and what patterns started to emerge over time.

That curiosity is what led me deeper into marketing analytics and strategy. While I still enjoy the creative side of marketing, it’s the reasoning behind it; the data, the behavior, and the decision-making, that I find most rewarding.

My work today focuses on turning data into clarity.

I enjoy solving problems through research, trends, and performance insights. Whether it’s building dashboards, analyzing campaigns, or identifying opportunities for growth, I’m always trying to get to the underlying “why.”

To me, marketing without research is just guessing. The goal is to replace that uncertainty with something clearer, something that helps teams make more confident decisions.

That said, not everything starts with perfect data. Sometimes you have to take a calculated risk to create a baseline before trends can even exist. The key is knowing when to rely on data and when to create it.

I believe marketing works best when it balances data and intuition.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve seen is how organizations approach marketing data. Some rely too heavily on scattered reports across multiple systems, which makes it difficult to see a clear picture. Others lean too far in the opposite direction, relying on instinct without grounding decisions in real performance data.

The strongest marketing strategies sit somewhere in the middle.

They use data to guide decisions, but still leave room for testing, experimentation, and growth. Campaigns shouldn’t just perform “well enough.” There should always be a push to improve, to refine, and to see what’s possible beyond the current baseline.

I'm naturally collaborative and focused on clarity.

I’ve worked closely with teams across marketing, finance, operations, compliance, and more, and one of the roles I often find myself in is acting as a bridge between them.

Each team speaks a different language, and part of my job is translating information in a way that makes sense to everyone involved. Whether that’s explaining marketing performance to finance or aligning campaign strategy with operational goals, I try to make communication as clear and useful as possible.

I also value transparency and realistic planning. Understanding priorities, timelines, and bandwidth is just as important as the work itself. The goal is always to move things forward without creating unnecessary friction.

Outside of work, I like to stay curious.

My wife and I enjoy racing against the clock in escape rooms around Central Texas, and when we’re not doing that, we’re usually at home with our four dogs watching movies or spending time outdoors.

I also spend time continuing to build my skills; whether that’s working with analytics tools like Power BI and Looker Studio, learning/polishing up my coding languages like Python and JavaScript, or keeping up with marketing trends and ideas.

And when I’m not doing any of that, I’m probably playing video games, building LEGO sets, playing golf poorly with my friends, or going down the rabbit hole of an “iceberg” video on YouTube.

Looking ahead…

I'm interested in roles where I can continue to grow as a strategic contributor, connecting marketing, data, and customer behavior to drive better outcomes. Marketing is always evolving, and I enjoy being in environments where I can keep learning, building, and pushing ideas forward.
